Although our Freshwater Pearls are farmed (cultured)it is generally farmed Saltwater Pearls, which are more commonly known asCultured Pearls. These are mainly farmed in Australia and Asia. There aretwo main types of saltwater pearls, Tahitian pearls and Akoya pearls.These generally command a higher price point than freshwater pearls. They aremore round in shape and have an incredible lustre, these gem-quality pearlsembody high luxury. Natural South Sea Pearls are the rarest type of pearl.
